Today I spotted the most entertaining marketing effort I’d seen on college campuses in a long while. The College of Southern Maryland‘s Career Service Center prints The Toilet Paper, a newsletter with Career Center events and information for job seekers. Inside every bathroom stall is a little plastic sleeve with the newsletter insert. Hygiene issues aside, this newsletter is genius!

Not wanting to be the creepy person in the bathroom taking pictures with a camera phone, I have no evidence of this newsletter, only the memory of an entertaining marketing ploy.

Time to jump on the TP bandwagon, libraries. I’m sure there are plenty of things we want to share with our patrons. What better opportunity to do so than when they are…ahem…not going anywhere for a while.
