You can’t stop a good book. No where is that more evident than in Colombia, where primary school teacher Luis Soriano delivers books to children in rural villages with the help of his trusty “biblioburro”–a bookmobile on four legs. Soriano and his superfriend were featured as CNN.com Heroes last week (thanks for the link, Nate!) and Simon & Schuster are publishing Soriano’s story this June as a children’s book.
I’ve been feeling a bit down lately, in large part because I’m selling books to people when they could easily be getting them for free at the public libraries in this county. Biblioburro arrived just in time to raise my spirits and make me rethink what I’m doing with my time.
Changes are a’ coming.
